↟ WELCOME TO A WILD LIFE ↟
My name is Kate Hurley, and I am excited you have landed here- because that means you are a fellow adventurer and (hopefully!) ready to start exploring.
If you love the outdoors, you’ve come to the right place.
A Wild Life is an outdoor adventure blog about exploring the world, living an outdoor lifestyle, and sharing passion for hiking, camping, peak bagging, and scrambling. This is about living A Wild Life.
I want to help you explore your passion for the outdoors. Life is short, and it helps to think about what our future selves would decide to do today if they looked back on their lives. We should make the most out of our time to appreciate the little things that life gives us. We need to take the opportunities that come. Discard the plans that don’t work out. Soak up the sunrises, the storms, the summits, and the victories. Enjoy the journey and forget about the numbers. This is what it’s all about.
I currently have been living in the heart of the Rocky Mountains for over a year. I have always loved hiking and camping and have been eagerly exploring the world around me since I was 5 and set up “survival shelters” in the backyard. I began this blog a little under a year ago to find a place to express my passion for pure exploration. In that time, I have crawled over the landscape that surrounds me, discovered a new love for scrambling and route-finding, and have been pushing the limits of my new capabilities.
I am excited to share my journey with you- a journey of learning, and of sharing. This is a safe space for explorers of all walks of life, and all skill levels. Lets explore our passions, and get excited about discovery!
Some of my own goals and future trips:
- Thru-hike the Appalachian Trail
- Take on the beautiful scenery of the Greenland Arctic Circle
